My best friend

Friendship is the human everlasting topic. Everyone needs a friend. Without a friend, our life will be unimaginable. This Tuesday you shared some proverbs with us.  I do think they are the fruit of wisdom.

So how to keep a friendship. Here are some of my thoughts:

1.    No respect ,no friend. We often hear the word “respect”. But it’s hard to respect someone when he makes mistakes, when he is frustrating, coward, selfish,mean…etc. But we are human, we screw things up, if you can’t accept these negative things, how can you deserve the care and help and understanding from your friends. Respect shouldn’t  only be showed when our friends do marvelous things, when they make a mess, show your mercy and respect, that is the touchstone of being a real friend.

2.    Dare to be yourself. In front of a friend, you should feel at home, show your true color, tell your success and trouble or you can say nothing. You don’t have to pretend to be unbreakable. Acting is for audience, not for a friend.

3.    Show your positive side. Friendship is like a machine. You should take good care of it, lubricate it regularly. Don’t regard your friend as a dustbin. Of course , you can pour out your worries and miserable feelings to your friend, but don’t overdo it. Otherwise , your friends will leave you someday.

4.    Being friends doesn’t mean you don’t have private space. You and your friend have respective lives, you can share happiness and sorrows, you can give your friend a hand, but don’t cross the line.

In my mind, I stick to one thing, the best friend is yourself, of course it is not logical, because a friend should be someone else. But I think the one who understands you completely is youself.
